It is very beneficial to research your items on eBay before you list them. It is helpful to see how similar auctions have ended in the past. By doing this you can avoid the mistakes of the sellers whose items sold for a below average bid amount and use what the sellers with high bid prices did to your advantage. In this article I will show you what to look for in auctions that have already ended and how to research information in a variety of ways.

Three places you can research your items before you list are eBay, third party market research vendors, and other e-commerce sites such as Amazon. On eBay, it is helpful to use both the completed auction search and the advanced search on the currently running items. It is free to do a completed item search, stealth bats
, on eBay for items that have ended in the past 14 days while there is usually a fee associated with third party vendors.

The advantage with third party vendors is you can do a search for several months in the past. Other e-commerce sites can give you ideas on price and help with your description.

Researching, stealth bats
, Items on eBay

There are two searches on eBay that can help with researching your, stealth bats
, items – Completed auction search and Currently running auction search.

To do a completed item search on eBay, follow this procedure:

1.

From eBay’s home page, click the Advanced Search link.

2. Enter the keyword in the “Enter keywords or item number” search box. Make sure your keyword is as specific as possible, stealth bats
, . Instead of putting “Easton Softball Bat”, you should put “Easton Stealth SCN9 Softball Bat”

3. Click the “Completed listings” box, stealth bats
, in the “Search including” section.

4. Enter any other optional information to narrow your search further.

5. Click “Search”.

To do a currently running auction search, follow the above procedure but do not click the “Completed listings” box.

If you did a Completed Auction Search, you will get a search results page that includes all the completed auctions in the last 14 days on eBay for that specific item. Let’s take the Easton Stealth SCN9 Softball Bat as an example. You will get around 25 completed auctions in the last 14 days.

You will see a large difference in prices ranging from $225 up to $350. You are, stealth bats
, definitely looking to sell your item for as much, stealth bats
, as possible, so take some time and see what the sellers in the higher, stealth bats
, range of prices did and do the same thing.

Some of the auction details you will want to look at are:
